(source emilyposts) i’ve seen this quote attributed to mark twain, but i can’t find an original source for it. wikiquote lists this quote in question under unsourced/ possible fakes. if you ask me, i think it belongs to clarence darrow, from his autobiography, the story of my life. here are his words in full.
